Wow, this was exceptionally mediocre. When first opened, I did a quick check just to make sure it was ok. While it wasn’t corked, or bad, it was unbelievably tight, flat, and completely discombobulated. Craziest PnP I think I’ve ever had. Seriously, and I’m an old fart of 63!
Decanted for two hours (as one review recommended), and while it was better and came together a bit, in my opinion, it’s really just an OK wine. And with a Community Value of $70, this is an absolutely atrocious QPR! My bottle was a gift from someone, so I thankfully, have no compelling reason to try, or justify, paying that amount for this wine.

"Incredible nose. Candied dark raspberry, cherry, layers of fruit. Easy going palate. Gentle fruit that isn’t very overwhelming, very approachable. Medium body, gentle acid, not a ton of tannin. Finish is long and mimics the palate. With time the wine gains some strength and power. Pretty good! 91, supposedly mostly from Hershey Vineyard"

Epic Napa Trip - Day 5: Tasted at Dana - A very nice inexpensive wine that drinks well. Nose shows dark fruit and purple flowers, with notes of earth and herbs. Palate shows blackberry pie, with chocolate, herbs and some oaky notes. Very nice, but nothing special. I liked the 2015 vintage I had a couple times previously (no notes) much better. 89 points and a decent wine to drink with or without food, and a great wine to to quaff while waiting for other wines to mature....
Note, give it a healthy decant.

Napa trip day 5: Drank a fairly miserly pour at the winery over 45 minutes. Lots of earth and a bit of anise. The fruit is big, maybe a touch jammy 88-89

Soul-searching in Napa. Beta-Jasud, Roy Piper, Detert, Elyse, Diamond Creek, Favia, Opus, Gargiulo, among others!; 1/17/2022-1/22/2022: Tasted at the winery, served in Sophienwald glass.
