  • Delicious, elegant, very precise, light on its feet with good complexity. Mostly very savory, lots of olive tapenade on the nose, a little bit of a smoky twinge, supporting faint wild blackberry and something like fruit roll-ups (not really "candied fruit", but close to that.) Acidity is high and tight- sometimes a little on the thin and tart side. The fruit feels VERY early-picked here and at times it's a little sharp. But in the end it's well-balanced, certainly very vibrant which I love, and especially comes alive with BBQ meats also. Solid but I was much more impressed with his Crozes and I'm looking forward to trying the Cornas.

Delicious cooked black fruit, black pepper. A bit herbaceous and some smokiness. Balanced acidity and tannin; very smooth and lush tannin. Rich in flavor and complexity. High quality.
