  Small glass, tasted twice. Black cherry and berry with faint spice. Seemed medium weight to start, but this is carried forward with a good backbone of elegant structure. Good already now, with upside.

  Deep, dark, purple in color, almost opaque. Full, forward & fragrant nose of ripe fruit aromas of cherries, blueberries & strawberries with overtones of earthy/dusty & floral notes of violets, spices, herbs & minerals in the background. Medium bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of cherries, plums & blueberries with some spices, herbs & a hint of minerals. Lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present with decanting & airing but has the fruit & structure for continued development with additional couple of years of further aging.
