So...new vintage! On nose: sea salt, oyster shell and chalk. On palate: the above notes, as a canvas for lemon curd, stony minerals, flint, and as it warms up after a 1 hour decant, toasted almonds, a ghost of dried apricot, and faint backbone of judiciously used oak. Still very young, but showing much promise, even better than the 2019 tasted last summer....manages the neat trick of balance, full flavoured but not heavy....the hallmark of a good 1er cru.
