Community Tasting Notes (15) Median Score: 89 points

  • medium ruby, shiny with long legs colour. very good. nose: ripe fruits and alcohol. red and black plums, black cherries, blueberries, and strawberries from compote. Not bad. taste: medium acidity but the fruit is quite fresh. Alcohol is scorching the palate. Tannins are rather smallgrainy. medium (+) finish with alcohol notes. Alcohol is very high 15,5% and not integrated - even though there is some R.S. it does not cover it. Not balanced.

  • Good acidity, medium finish, but the high alcohol has it running a little hot for me, not compensated by enough depth of flavour.

  • Amazing, really a wawoooo on the nose, less on the palate 🥺 & when you have better Primitive wines for significantly less money 😞

Mostly cloudy, relatively bright dark ruby red color. Nice 👍

Medium plus body. Medium minus acidity. Well felt tanines. Relatively smooth, but can age further for sure, if one have spare room in his wine coolers (I decided against it).

Amazing in the nose. Barrels, fruits, spices, terroir 👍

Same on the palate, but in a rough not very harmonic way 👎

Nice wine, not a great VFM 🥺

  • Aroma & Flavor Characteristics: Fruit is ripe and cooked. Blackberry, black plum, black cherry, charred wood, vanilla, balsamic vinegar, and fresh oregano. Color: Deep Ruby. Aromatic Intensity: Medium. Sweetness: Dry. Acidity: M+. Tannin Level: Medium (+). Tannin Nature: Ripe, fine-grained. Alcohol: High. Body: Medium (+). Flavor Intensity: Medium (+). Finish: Medium.
Quality: Very Good. The medium (+) acid is balanced with the fruit concentration and intensity, giving liveliness to the wine. The alcohol is well-integrated and likewise balanced with the medium (+) intensity. The medium (+) length of the finish and medium aromatic intensity prevent this wine from being outstanding.
Aging: Suitable for aging. The medium (+) acidity and tannin along with high alcohol will allow this wine to safely age, while the concentrated ripe and cooked flavors transition to tertiary flavors to add complexity.

  • Decanted 1 hour. Upon decanting rich deep blackberry color w/ fresh berry aroma. Initial pour showed nice soft leather color w/lightly acidic nose. Balanced legs. Flavor of light cherries & soft blueberries w/balance slightly dry finish. Nice w/Mushroom Risotto
