  Opened by Billhike courtesy of VinT. This was served with the salad course. Light yellow color. Overall I thought this was on the flat side with lower acidity. Notes of lemon grass and chamomile tea. Past its prime in my opinion. Drink now. 87 points.

  Cab Showdown: Michigan v West Coast (Chateau Vino Me): Courtesy of VinT via billhike. Darker age-appropriate color with notes of lemon rind, lemon Pledge and stone. Full-bodied and rich, with wet stone, pear and mineral flavors. With air there's a hint of something hinting at TCA but it never worsens and seems to disappear altogether after another thirty minutes in the glass so I am not willing to say this was tainted. The musty note gives way to bright citrusy lemon notes. I kept an ounce or two in the glass for the better part of the evening and this was better the more air it received. Perhaps...just maybe...this wasn't a perfectly pristine sample, but I like what's here and hope to have another crack at this someday.

  this wine was just exceptional, among the best i've ever had the pleasure of drinking. the body was so marvellously rich, creamy and full. there was fruit, but it wasn't led by fruit. there was acidity, but again it wasn't dominant. i find it hard to describe because this wine is beyond any white wine i've ever tasted. it was just pure, unadulterated pleasure.
  one of the other drinkers noted ' just the tiniest hint of tannin, maybe a little unresolved oak', so perhaps this will develop even further. i do hope so.

  on the nose there is plenty of fruit, slightly lemony, and a bit of melon. there is another dominant distinctive aroma, but i don't know how to describe. while i try i'm reminded of jay macinerney saying he was chastised by a winemaker once for 'trying' to hard with his wine, the implication being that it should be felt.
  the body is really rich and full, coats the tongue and mouth completely, then the acidity kicks in and the flavour develops. there is an aromatic finish that persists quite marvellously.
