Prof Lei - Best Collection of New Zealand (Newmarket, Auckland): compare to those 'typical' Marlborough, Te Koko is subtle, elegant and complex, ripe tropical fruits, smooth texture, green herbals and creamy hints, m+ body, long finish with mineral and grass notes.

There is a slight grassy note that always has gooseberry and guava paired with it, so it never seems too herbaceous. As the wine opens up (I would recommend decabting for 30 minutes at the minimum), the fruit has more weight with notes of underripe papaya pineapple, and lime supporting. One of my favourite sauvgnon blancs I've had in a while.

Not too reductive. Better than the average Marl SB. Reminded me a bit of the Clos Henri Name Me, but not as good.

Clean and crisp with a light yellow hue. Tastes are of green apple, lemon and a hint of lime. Balanced acidy and smooth finish
Paired perfectly with scallops and green apples sautéed in butter.
