I bought this from the 1/2 price S. Africa sale after the wine festival. I had kept my noted guide from the festival and had this one marked as good so I happily sprung for the 20$ price tag. Nice full deep colour, almost tar black, the nose was all black fruits, tar and ash. The palate was deep, edgy with drying tannins and a nice little streak of acidity. Soft use of French oak is integrating well, The full finish was a bit short, I suspect this wine will be much improved with a couple more years in cellar.
