Lunch with the wine ark boys (McLeay Street Bistro, Potts Point): Lemon, a little orange, floral top notes, touches of flor, cereal and nutty notes, creamy underpin. Slight sour lemon, almost green apple, plenty of texture and a little savoury saline cereal on the finish. Yum

Spanish fun day one (N&J's place, Canberra): From Coravin. First real Flor note here offering a touch of nuttiness joined by lemon, salinity smidge of chamomile, cereal. Initially salted lemons splash the palate, that prove slightly sour, then nutty notes, textured burr tugs at the tongue , finishes dry and saline. Interesting

Nose is classic palomino with yeast, wheat and grain aromas, plus hints of oxidative/fino characters. Palate is fresh with zippy acidity. Lemon, lemon zest and saline backbone make it very enjoyable albeit fairly simple.
Drink now, serve with seafood or as an aperitif.

TSA - Marco de Jerez (Zoom call): From Coravin. a little flor note, slightly nutty, lemon, quince, slight kumquat, slightly oxidative notes. Medium plus intensity acidity, citrus, slight saline, the flor and the oxidative quality far less obvious on the palate though does lend some bruised green apple. Like the Blanco de Hornillos quite linear, long, and, on the palate, quite simple.
