Opened one houri n advance. Tart raspberry aroma. Flavors of raspberry and rhubarb lead into a chalky finish. Firm backbone, slightly astringent, some complexity.
Rough and unfocused when first opened, this came together with air time.

GT Wine Top Tasting Gamay and Beaujolais (Winespace, Surry Hills): Whole bunch, Brett, a little tomato leaf, wild black and red berry, smells quite ‘trousseau’. Sharp acidity is sour, tart, fruit, a little bitter, Brett on the palate as well, meaty, juicy drink now or throw away in three years

Fine but not that exciting really. Given the producer I was a shade underwhelmed.

Underripe cherry, toasted sugar/bubble gum, banana, baking spices, limestone minerality.
Lovely acidity, gamay - possibly none/minimal carbonic maceration. Light bright, cuts like a knife. Perfect for drinking on its own without food.
Would buy again!

Grand Cru Portfolio Tasting (3/9 Grand Cru Portfolio Tasting, NYC): Gamay. Fruity ashy nose. Palate is ashy on entry, but cleans up. Good.
