  • Consumed over 3 days, stored in Vin du Somm at red temperature, note from day 3. Appearance: Clear, deep ruby. Nose: Clean, medium+ intensity with base aromas of dark fruit - blackberry and cassis, with blueberry and raspberry overtones, graphite, tobacco leaf, and bell pepper. Palate: Dry, medium+ acid, softened medium+ tannin, medium+ body, medium+ intensity, 14.5% abv with developing flavors of black berry, black raspberry, and tobacco with a hint of smoke in the back-end and a long finish.

Overall, an outstanding wine hitting on all cylinders - balance, complexity, intensity, and length. Consumed over 3 days with the last sip being the best - good today with a couple hours of air, better in 2-3 years and 5+ after that.
