- Ruby color with slow forming legs. It's somewhat balanced with a light/medium body. Round texture with a short finish - A wine that aged gracefully, but was never a good wine.

Haggis opened this at his home last week. This is a blend of Zinfandel, Primitivo and Sangiovese. 13.5% alcohol. This spends 12-16 months in oak. I think this is on the downhill side of its drinking window but still in that window. Smooth and not as fruity as you would expect from a Zin blend. Round finish. 88 points.

This is the third bottle I've opened in the last 6 months. Opened this one last night at the monthly Haggis Happy Hour with members of the CWM. This is a beautiful blend of old California zinfandel, primitivo (really a variety of zin), and sangiovese. A refined nose of prunes, berries, oak, and a hint of mint. This is a wonderfully complex and deep wine, with a palate that lingers and lingers. This is at peak right now. Drink up over the next 2 years.

Opened at an offline with some of the CWM. Garnet color. Nice red fruit and leather notes, wih earthy red fruit on the palate and firm, but sweet tannins.

Nicely aged wine in fine condition. Good nose, medium body, and nice clarity.
