Pale straw with a nose centered on lemony citrus and waxy yellow-current fruit. Tart, midweight, finish is perhaps a bit short. A good effort but surprisingly soft and unfocused for Forge in a strong vintage. Enjoyed the pairing with an udon / tofu / eggplant dish and a salad with an Asian dressing.
Consistent with previous bottle but seems to have settled together a bit more. Still tons of acidity with some sharp lemon and citrus notes along with underlying crushed rock minerality. Better with food than on its own. Could still probably use a bit more time in bottle.

Lemon juice, ripe green melon , passion fruit, ripe pineapple, ripe yellow apple, white pepper, rubber/plastic/tbn and wet stone, on the nose. Intensity of aromas is medium +. It reminds me of Pfalz Riesling. The palate, however is pretty bitter and mineral driven - more like dry Mosel Riesling. it shows flavors of wet stone, lemon, lime, white pepper and cumin; rather than tropical fruit. Intensity of flavors is medium. Structured and elegant.
Speaking of structure, this has quite a bit. Medium + body and high acid. It’s going to go for a pretty long time. Drinking well now; with a lot of interesting places to go still. Drink or hold for 3-5 more years.

White apple, strong pear and lots of citrus on the nose as well as minerals and a distinct saline streak. When first opened, was much more citrus-dominant on the nose and the longer it was open, the more the pear shines through. Medium bodied (12% ABV) with lots of pear upfront with some round notes and lot of brighter, higher toned, more acidity driven notes. Mid-body adds white apple along with an excellent citrus backbone (lime and lemon). Acidity, minerals, saline qualities and citrus echo through the lengthy finish. As compared to the 2019, there's more citrus, saline and acidity in this 2020 and while it doesn't have the peach notes of the 2019, overall, I'd say they show clearly as from the same vineyard, but the depth and backbone of the 2020 give it the edge. This wine is already coming together well, but as it continues to integrate, should show more complexity and balance. Next bottle for me, late Q2 2024.

Excellent. Beautiful aromas of butterscotch, key lime pie, creme fraiche, sea salt, yellow apple, fresh rain. Palate is similar, but the acidity is so punchy it feels more citrus forward than the nose suggests. Very round body, high acid, medium plus complexity, medium plus finish.
