Enjoyed this. Still light in color, only the faintest golden hue. Expressive on both the nose and palate. The acidity is there, but not incisive. This is more about the fruit, which leans heavily towards the tropical/mangoey side of things. There's also a particular aspect to this wine that I can't put my finger on, something I've noticed with other rieslings from this vineyard, not spiciness.. but something along that vein. Seems to be drinking well now, but plenty of room for development.

(Monchhof Urziger Wurzgarten Spatlese) Petrolly nose with some wool and spice. A touch muddled on the palate with nice concentration and spice on the finish. Very good '03.
