Tasted an hour after opening. Had been in the cellar 2 years after purchase. Had it for a Sunday lunch with eggplant rolatini . Great aroma of raspberry and leather. Great acidity and a bit more tannin than I would have expected from a 2015 at this point. Cranberry. Graphite. Orange peel. Short to medium finish. Enhanced the meal nicely. If you’ve got a couple of bottles of this, I’d recommend waiting a year or so to open. But I don’t think the potential to age is much is much longer than that’s

Rome, Florence, Bologna - Delayed 60th birthday trip; 10/19/2021-11/1/2021 (Rome, Florence, Bologna): From the wine list at Osteria del Cinghiale Bianco (Florence). After some back and forth with the server on what wines they still had in stock, we settled on this bottle from a producer I don't think I have previously tried. Still obviously quite young, this was enjoyable, red fruited and leaning more to the elegant side with earth, leather and anise notes. Paired nicely with Bistecca Fiorentina.

Palate: lingon berry, vanilla, cedar, red cherry, red forrest berries
