First tasting:Nice red, violet robe. The bouquet is far, hard to distinguish at first. There was a hunt of black pepper, some strawberry jam. Acid seems medium high while the tannins are medium. Wine does stay long in mouth.

The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are slow. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like blackberry and black currant (cassis). It tastes like blackberry, black currant (cassis), oak and black pepper. The body is full. The wine has round texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has medium acidity. Decanted 1 hour

Dalla Terra Direct reds: Vibrant purple color. Lovely nose of currants and black cherries, mixed with mulling spices, leather, violets, spiced black tea, and it’s all warm, deep, inviting and savory. The palate shows nice grip but the tannins have rounded edges, buttressed by medium acidity. Deep currants and black cherry fruit, tossed with fallen leaves, clay, loamy earth and plenty of spice and savory nuance. Nice concentration but opens up well, and I love the complexities of stones, mineral, campfire and grilled meat. This is cold weather and braised meat sort of wine that will age well, too. Love it!

Could of been better, I didn’t care for it but it’s not to bad.
