  (CLOS FIGUERES Priorat) Gems Dear Friends, It's the middle of the night in Paris but I've just confirmed this set of gems. All are EXTREMELY LIMITED at the prices below (including one of the lowest prices I've ever seen on Domaine des Senechaux). Senechaux is an estate to watch closely over the next 3-5 years to see what develops. For now, this wine is on the way to us at a steal of a price - nearly 50% off. Yes, it's 2006 but the more I talk to the winemakers in the Rhone (over the past two weeks), the more I get the very firm idea that 2006 is one of their personal favorite vintages to drink. The quotes are something like: "2007 is for show, 2006 is for my dinner. Not that 2007 is bad, quite the opposite, it is an incredible, fantastic year but it is not a vintage of finesse - maybe in time, but tonight it is 2006 that captures my imagination".
