This is immediately attractive with a lush sense of fruitiness that also has some grit, herb, and intrigue. Fruit mixes dark red, blue, and some mulberry that is up to the edge of what I enjoy yet stays in the happy zone. 90+

There seems to be some significant bottle variation here. Unlike my previous note, this bottle is much more in line with previous vintages. Yes there's still that vegetal/garrigue aspect, but in this bottle there's good dark fruit (blueberries, unripe plums) to balance it, and the overall result is well-balanced.
I've adjusted my previous note. On the basis of this bottle this is a repeat buy for me at the ~US$20 I paid.

EDIT: although I'll leave the note here, after a subsequent bottle I think that this one was flawed/off. See my later TN.
I've enjoyed several earlier vintages of this, but this one seems a bit different. This is all dark fruit, garrigue, herbs, but for me a bit too vegetal overall and lacking in any sweetness from the fruit. No great change on day 2 or day 3.
For me this is less of a crowd-pleaser than earlier vintages - one for people who like their wines dark and vegetal.

Very dark color, tightly wound on opening with a little heat on the nose. Opens up quickly, but 30 minute plus decant recommended now. Rhône-like with garrigues, spice, and dark fruit, but with a pleasant herbaceousness that’s somehow all it’s own. Nothing like the Corullon from the same vintage, which I loved, but nice in its own way.

Aint this an unexpected pretty thing. Chewy, dense, purple goop - fudgey with syrah like outlines -mencia bones - mix of reds and whites making up remaining 8%. Lavender, pepper, tar, and blackberry. Slurp.
