  • Full golden yellow. Seems ripe on the nose with a sense of botrytis and obvious sweetness. Initial sense is of sweetness, indeed far sweeter than I remember the last bottle of this being. Quite a rich, viscous texture in the mouth, some spice and mineral and a reasonable length. Sweet enough for a fruit tart etc. ***1/2

  • Bright, full yellow-gold colour. Quite concentrated nose of spice, wet stone and other mineral elements combined with ripe fruit. Harmonious and balanced. Sense of slight sweetness, presumably from ripe fruit, on entry, then fairly full-bodied but dry. Spice, mineral and rounded fruit flavours. Would be all to easy to drink this without thinking too much about it, but there is far more complexity and subtlety than superficially apparent. Certainly ready now and an excellent accompagniment for rich food, in this case cold goose. For me on the night ***1/2 though there is little to fault this as a late harvest TPG so would merit a higher rating within context.
