My last bottle, and I liked this one best. Good with soy-sauce seasoned ground beef and noodles. To me, this wine says, “strength.” 15% alcohol. Purple, dark.

Deep crimson with slight bricking. Tomato, black fruit, savory nose. Full mouthfeel, bitter cherry, blackberry, pencil box, nice complexity and full finish. Excellent. Drinking well right now.

Martin Scott Portfolio Tasting 2008 (East Side of Central Park, NYC): Absolutely delicious on the nose: Coffee, roasted nuts, a very interesting hint of blue fruits 'tempranillo on steroids, man!' In the mouth: chocolate, coffee, roasted nuts, toast, but with beautiful fruit! Super ripe, chewy tannins, this is absolutely awesome. Super plush, rich, mouthfeel. Finish lasts aeons. Retails for ~$70.

Very nice wine. The nose made me think bordeaux. This was a mid-weight wine that works well with cold-weather food. A pleasure.
