Just like their Chambolle-Musigny I tried recently but packed a lot more punch. Tertiary notes on the nose (almost can smell pineapple?), similar balance of mid-level wood notes and cherry fruit. More strawberry than black fruit as the supporting notes. Picked up some nutty notes as it finished opening up in glass.

My Birthday Weekend; 10/23/2020-10/25/2020 (Chicagoland IL): Open an hour+ before serving. Lots of black and red cherry with very savory spice. Good depth and complexity, but this wasn’t quite as harmonious and perfectly balanced as a few previous bottles. Needed more air?

Dark garnet, much denser than the 2011 next to it. Intriguing nose. Red fruit with black fruit mixed, also some black tea and autumn leaves notes. May be not the last word on HN elegance but a solid Richebourg.

This is a big richebourg. Nose has iron, dark fruit and herbs, but it lacks the vr floralness. Palate has very good power but the fruit turns to plummy with more time in the glass. As I am a strong believer that 90s noellat is not good, this wine actually surprises me on the upside. However, it should be consumed sooner than later.
