I like it but it's time to drink up. Nose was faint, offering a base of damp earth and occasional whiffs of dried red fruits (cranberry, strawberry) and bits of florals. Little flavor up front though it came with a nicely balanced texture. Finished brought in earth, touches of spice (clove? cedar?) and a firm backbone to go with tart red fruits.
Went fine with stew over the first couple of hours. But day 2 was muddled, showing fruit that was over the hill & too much of a dirty profile.

My last bottle. Opened last night, and it wasn't pleasant. Acid and tannin, and little fruit. The finish was not pleasant. I decanted it and opened a young French pinot noir to have with the grilled salmon. 24 hrs. later, the Jadot had opened some, and was quite drinkable with the right food. Smoked salmon and grilled pork chop were both good pairings. Finish wasn't great, and fruit was missing, but the experience was good. I didn't want to dump a $30 bottle down the drain. Old Burgundy can be interesting, even when it isn't great.
Disappointing. Felt tired and stewed. Acidity still left to keep it clean and drinkable with hints of red fruit, but clearly this bottle was on the wrong side of the hill. That being said, I had pretty high expectations so this was still a "good" wine.

Wild strawberry, cherry, and the beginning of forest floor. I feel like this could still get slightly better over the next year or two and hold on for another few after.

Very hard tasting on opening, and even 2 hrs later. Not much fruit. Some barnyard or funk which didn't really cause a problem. Decanted into a flask and drank the next night. The wine had softened and was more approachable, but not outstanding. Barnyard funk still there, but at least some fruit and much more drinkable.

This was quite nice for what it is.
I didn’t get any of the funk that others mention.
