It took about 20 to 30 minutes for this to open up in the glass, but once it did it was very good. I don't have any specific tasting notes as my palate seemed to be a bit off this weeekend. But my wife assures me that I am not off here and this wine is drinking well.

A dark ruby red color. A bit thin and hollow for the first half hour, and a bit on the wooden side. Then the fruit came out, with dark cherries framed by foresty and fresh herb notes with a touch of savory meatiness to it. Then this faded away again after another hour. The tannins are mostly resolved, and this is a nice drink if you catch it at the right point, but it's not going to last a whole lot longer.

Well, one point better anyway. Glad to have had the chance to try this two years apart. Wine is now very dark and raisin-y, almost rich with lots of funk/ barnyard flavor. Major change. Liked it but tastes like its on its last legs.
