Served blind. Youthful red purple with purple edges. Over-ripened, stewed, fruit and brine. In addition to the fruit (prune, raisin) it has some olive, dust, and sawdust. Medium bodied with mild tannins.

Costco Wine Blind Challenge (Mi Casa): Cool primary blue and red fruit, a bit grapy, slightly vegetal, iron and lead pencil. A bit like a barrel sample. Good concentration, silky, good balance, warm and round, fine tannins and a medium long finish. A bit straightforward, perhaps Merlot from a warm but wet region, not from Bordeaux.
Later, cool blue fruit and good balance.

Dark color, fruit overwhelmed by tannin, could smooth out over time, my wife drank it with flounder and a scallop with corn on the cob. Won’t drink again.
