Deep, opaque purple color. Fruity nose. The wine is not heavy, especially given the appearance. It's medium bodied. The tannins are light. Flavors of tart cherry, strawberry. It's a pleasant, but not complex wine.

I wouldn't go so far as the last review, but I feel their pain, seeing as I was hoping for a hint of Toro's ripe black fruit and oak, but unfortunately this was really reductive and largely unpleasant, lots of astringent peppery/smoky dominate with some sense of decent fruit that struggles and fails to emerge. Palate is a bit better with some nice dark berry flavors, but there wasn't too much to recommend here. It feels like "real" wine which is nice for $10, and it did improve very slightly with air and food, but it was mostly a disappointment.

Give it 10 minutes to breath. Heavy and deep plum notes. Medium body. Great for dinner

Ruby red, dark cherry and cedar nose, medium to high tannins somewhat overshadowing the finish. Good value.
