Seymour Wine Club Meeting 4/27/19 (Home of Lew Stanio): Tasted blind. Aromas of blackberry, cherry, smoke and matchstick. Flavors of boysenberry, cherry, fig and licorice. Ends with a 25 second finish with boysenberry notes. A solid, well made wine. I gave this 90 points and it finished tied for 2nd place.

Very nice for the price (under $10). Decent nose, with darker fruit and some savory notes. Lots of up front fruit (plums, black cherries), decent tannins for balance, and a decent dry finish, with lingering black cherries. It needed a day after opening to come together, and it was best on day 3.

medium ruby color with pink to clear rim. Nose has red and black fruit, spice, light oak, molasses, slight floral. Medium tannin, medium acid, medium finish. Surprised at the low-ish ratings. For $10 I think this is a great deal. 13.5% ABV, cork. Check it out.

Much better flavor than the $9.99 price would suggest. Berries, plums and juciey. Very good every day wine. More tannins on the last glass.
