Pale ruby in the glass with garnet hues. This needs a few hours of decanting to open up both on the nose and the palate. Red fruit in the focus, with some violets and tar creeping up after a while. REALLY tight on the palate. Still an enjoyable wine, but this will be better in 10 years time. The tannins are just too harsh right now.

First, you need to pour it in a carafe for an hour minimum before consuming it, the tanins are overwhelming everything after opening the bottle. The color is quite clear, pale red, you see the light through it, it’s almost flashy. Strong nose, red fruit, seems powerful. After an hour, the tanins are still there, but you don’t have a lot of other assets; no wood, no spice, still red fruit but nothing special. After 3 hours, tanins are still there! The wine is enjoyable but nothing’s new with the taste, still ok, but doesn’t worth it. I don’t know if this wine is either too young or if it need’s 12 hours of air, but I will not repeat the experience.

This has plenty going on already. Ginger, aniseed, menthol and orange peel. Fruits are of the red persuasion. It is accessible and finishes with savoury nuance.

Medium minus intensity aromas of sweet spice, muted fruit, simple. Juicy acidity, tight tannins are drying, fruit is muted. Meh.
