First time with a Trousseau. Surprised with the pallor, the lightness, the hints of melon fruit. Mild earthy notes. Almost interesting but felt tired. This may be over the hill.

Popped and poured. Typical very light transparent pinkish ruby, garnet hints, low viscosity. The nose is very elegant yet distinctive, red currants, wild strawberries, kirsch, underbrush, tobacco leaves, wet soil, licorice root, candied orange peel, dried hibiscus, dried mushrooms, violets. Better after some air. On the palate this Trousseau has a great acidity, supported by a nice typical minerality and despite being light bodied it has a good concentration. Very fine and resolved tannins, juicy, red berries, licorice, scorched earth, quite savoury finish, with a nice finish and a very smooth mouthfeel. I believe this wine has reached its peak and is quite complex at the moment, but probably due to its structure and acidity i will have no rush in consuming this, so drink now or hold for another 2/3 years from now, maybe more if you like well developed Jura's. Solid value producer from Arbois.
