Highly recommend - at or perhaps slightly past peak, completely mature and drinking beautifully, time to drink up any remaining holdings. Not formally decanted but aired in bottle for 3 hours+ prior to consumption with risotto done using a modified version of a true, tested and time hallowed CT "wine guys" risotto recipe (thanks Tom Carlson, Tim Heaton, Scott Hollowell). Medium purple, peripheral bricking present, soft mouth feel, oak and tannins almost completely resolved, complex and balanced with a soft long lingering aftertaste. Soft aromatic nose of warm plum, dark cherry, smoke and bacon fat. Flavor profile of fading oak and tannins up front with dark stone fruit, blackberry and classic cassis giving way to a fatter more secondary peofile of leather, bacon fat, grilled meat and a beautiful smokey finish.

This is just getting a bit past peak, was medium bodied, fruit was apparent but muted. Color was dulling down a bit. Decanted which helped but would have been better about 6 months ago. If you have it drink it now.

The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are medium. There is heavy sediment in the bottle. It smells like passion fruit, strawberry jam and lychee. Intoxicating bouquet. The body is medium. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has low acidity. Could age a little longer.

Cassis and black fruit flavors. Rich, smooth, with a medium length finish. Very good and still has aging potential.
