  • Medium red color. Aromas of ripe red berries and some oak. Powerful and rather sweet on the palate. A bit too extracted for me.

  • I really enjoyed this. Blueberries, almost bubble gum like with a soft velvety mouth feel. Great mid week wine. Good value. Likely to age well.

  • Open in aroma with a noticeable strawberry character (surprisingly very pickled / hot strawberries) mixed with a round and warm spiciness (cardamom, vanilla).

Is far from an expert on Julienas but wine strikes me feeling very much like a grenache, also given some burning from alcohol on the nose.

In taste, a clear grip that feels more driven by alcohol than tannin. The tannins nicely soften in their character although there being a certain volume of them.

The acidity is therefore slightly felt in the background, where the red sweet fruitiness also gives the illusion ofattenuated acid.

The style feels suitable for those who like Côtes-de-Rhône of better character (e.g. Rasteau) and more modern styles of
    grenache wine.
