  The cork was moldy on the top, but no sign of any fungus on the side in contact with the wine. Medium, dark colour. Fantastic, wide, complex nose. Earthy, barnyard, funk, but also iron and floral aromas too. On the palate there is nice balanced acidity and good fruit. Tasted with several other burgundys and this seemed to combine the best components of each. This is really, really lovely.
