A fresh quince, bruised pear, chalk, and spice on the nose. Clean and fresh on the palate with a little textural lees feeling. Chalky with well balanced seemingly low dosage. Finishes fresh and mouthwatering. Outstanding. 90

3rd bottle from 10 originally purchased. Bright, oncisive, salt and minerals, lime zest. Just delicious. Oxidized apple flavors blow off over an hour or so. Delish.

Shiny yellow gold with green tint. Ginger, ginger bread, menthol, apricot, honeycomb, red apple, cashew, salinity and minerality. Mild but lively bubbles. High acidity, restrained fruits. Fresh, crisp, complex and elegant. Long ginger-apple finish.
Very unusual sparling wine from French Alps that rivaled some of the best champagnes out there.
Sadly, the legendary vigneron and winemaker Dominique Belluard died from suicide in early summer 2021 due to depression. He was 55 years old and without a successor. His Jura legend friend Jean-Francois Ganevat helped him finished the vintage, like Franco Alfano helped Giacomo Puccini finished the opera masterpiece Turandot in 1916.

Still one of the most exceptional sparklers -- non-Champ, under $50 division -- I can think of.

Delicious. Very pale, lightweight, mineral, with a sneaky richness on the aftertaste.
