Jetzt trinken! ----------------------------------------------- Aged well after 3 years. Golden-yellow in the glass. Nice notes of mandarin, lemon and orange zest. In the background ripe pineapple and a touch of honey. But still has a very nice acidic tanginess. Slightly oily on the tongue and not as acidic as a year ago. Drink now!

First South African Chenin I haven't liked, even accounting for the $5 price. Not wrong or off, just really pallid. Seeing all these 89s across multiple vintages, I've gotta agree with Andrew Eldritch: I don't see how you people can be so undemanding

Tasted blind. Pale lemon w/ a green hue; med+ tears. Med+ intensity aromas of tart lemon, lime, unripe white peach, lime, white acacia. Youthful. Dry, with high acidity, med alcohol (13%). Med+ body, w/ med flavor intensity and length, w/ a lime and grapefruit pith bitterness on the med finish. Good, entry level Chenin Blanc, with good QPR, but not likely to improve with further aging.

55F, PnP. Big nose with apple, tropical fruit. Medium smooth (almost oily) mouth feel with not a lot of fruit but good acid, tangy, greens, mineral. Nice finish. Great QPR. Interesting white, nose was almost Sauvignon blanc but on palate different.

Straw color with fallow edge. Nose of pear, white peach and wet stone. On the palate: peaches, apricot leading into a long finish of white fruit w/ glints of minerality. Acid structure is linear across the palate and held well in balance by the medium-to-heavy weight of the wine.
