Mid greeny-gold, bright and vivid in the glass. Mineral nose that follows through on to the palate, very Chablis on the attack, crisp, intense, clean and very focused. Mid weight on the mid-palate and then a hint of richness on the finish that hints at further south than a good Chablis 1er. This is the best bottle yet and drinking very well now. Will see how it lasts after 48hrs, but top ***1/2 on initial impressions.

Pale yellow. Mineral nose, quite restrained with just a touch of ripe fruit. Palate is quite weighty/viscous in texture. Fresh, clean, citrus fruit with a touch of pineapple and a slightly chalky minerality. Best bottle of this yet, now nicely mature whilst retaining freshness. Best with food - lacks some complexity and interest for enjoying on its own. ***

Pale; quite a ripe nose, typically burgundian. Clean and minerally on the palate. Possibly losing its fruit a little - will be interesting to see how this holds up until tomorrow night. Nice though if not exceptional.

Weekend in Boca Grande; 4/27/2006-4/29/2006 (Gasparilla Island): Very very nice, great presence and enjoyable. Not over oaked and a bit austere, but opened up in the glass. Plenty of acid, definite food wine; enjoyed with crab cakes
