I just recently posted notes on the same wine - 1995 Clos Rougeard les Poyeaux out of 750ml but @fuberwil opened up a MAGNUM of the rarity. WOW! I thought the 750 was youthful and structured, the magnum even more so! Decanted hours ahead of dinner, black fruited richness with plush acidity and a powerful frame that held everything together. The secondary bordeaux like notes that were heavier in the 750 were present but much further in the background in the magnum and added a devilish twist on the finish while letting the fruit shine. UGH love this wine.

cigar, green pepper, rose petals, black berry galore. The palate is elegant while structured. There’s a ton of tense dark fruit and tannin that show it’s youthfulness. There’s a freshness on the back end that’s delightful. The acidity is well integrated and lifts the wine. Beautiful wine with tons of stuffing to age. Just really strutting its stuff

I thought this was delicious! It was interesting though b/c there was a richness at first that faded in the glass and became a bit thin with air. Still, beautiful perfume, nice acidity and fruit, just delicious. I wouldn't decant this, I'd just pop and pour... to me, it showed its best about 5 minutes after opening.

Really enjoyed this one tonight. More elegant than powerful, with pretty, ripe fruit and nice acidity.

This was opened and decanted. Beautiful spices with hints of mint and anise. Drinking so beautifully with so much layers and complexity.
