Oregon Notes.; 8/5/2016-8/26/2016: Sweet cherry. Red fruit. Mid has some black cherry. Very youthful. Refreshing acidity. Feel of younger rioja without the tannin. Quite good !

Dark ruby, blackberry nose, some cedar. Dry tart red berries, marionberry, dry tannins. Nice acid, fruit balance with some stemmy tannins. Developing nicely in the glass, bright fruit is displacing the bitter elements. Tart, fruity finish. Night two the bitter is gone, ripe blackberries dominate with some acid to lend freshness, reminiscent of a blackberry/marionberry pie, Grand Central Baking is the best with New Seasons a close second for the Portland crowd. Not jammy, balanced by the acid, some green stem tannins on the finish. Best on night two. Developed into a nicely aged Pinot Noir night 3 & 4.

Opened and let breath for about 2 hours. The nose showed floral and red fruit with just a hint of hickory. On the pallet came cherries and raspberries followed by spice. A bit sweet but over all a good pinot.
