This is a dark violet opaque colored wine. The flavors are very typical for an amarone with dried fruits and a bit of herbal components. The body is thick and the consistency is fleshy with a deep intensity. It comes in at 16% alcohol so it's kind of port-like, but without the sweetness. Overall this is a well made characteristic amarone. It's a $100 bottle of wine, but I'm not disappointed.

$100 Plus Tasting Year 2 (Minneapolis, MN): Not feeling this wine. Maybe the SQN ruined my palate. Thin with light red currants, floral and some earth. Just did an Amarone tasting with WTSO and those were much better.

Nicely balanced but not impressive considering how expensive it is.
