Blackcurrant, black cherry, balsamics, with tomato leaf, molasses, leather, and spice coming in with time. Pleasant cherry acidity, quite nice and tart on the palate, sour cherry with oak influence. The wine develops really nicely in the glass, becoming more and more finessed, although the acidity continues to dominate. Very food-friendly.

A very good classico that's worth finding and following if you like the house style. 2020 seems a decent step up from last couple vintages, this is a bargain. Excellent.

Classy as usual. As it's young took a couple of hours to sort itself out and become balanced. Lovely Sangio nose, will wait a couple of years to drink more.

Medium to full body. Medium to high acidity. Well felt tanines. Not very smooth, a little rough for me, might benefit more aging time.
One hour after opening... wonderfuly aromatic, it passed after two hour more hours and vanished in thin air 😞😞 In the beginning really wonderful mixture of barrels, fruits and spices - oak, vanilla, chocolate, strawberries, raspberries, cinnamon, licorice, anise then plum, blueberries. Two hours passed... nothing.
Same on the palate 😞

N: Sweet licorice, dark berries, jam. Quite warm.
P: Typical Chianti. Sour cherries, lingering acidity. Mid-high tannin and body. Good value
