Last one of my 2004 bottles. Expected it to be long gone but turned out to be fantastic! Deep, yellow and golden to the eye, amazingly rich, complex and utterly enjoyable. What a surprise!

On the nose butter, lemon peel, hints of ripe yellow fruits. On the palate still a lot of spicy wood, enough acidity to balance the ripe yellow fruit and butterscotch. Really not much different from a tasting two years ago. I you don't like over the top Chardonnay steer away, otherwise this is really enjoyable in combination with (for example) fish in a cream sauce.

surprisingly this bottle wasn't oxidized as most others are now; still, if you have any left they'll probably be dead by now.
