  • I really enjoyed this. Nose is heavy with plenty of buttery oak, sulfur minerals, honey, a little perfumed flowers, vanilla, liquorice, nuts and ripe apples. But there is also something fresh, that keeps the wine on the right track.

Medium(-) acidity, full bodied, some tartness, high intensity and a medium long finish with a bit of warmth to it. Well balanced and delicious!

I'm happy I have two of these in the cellar!

  • Medium yellow color.

Developing nose with a medium+ intensity. Aromas of baked lemons, tropical fruits, salty stones, toasted oak, baking spice and butterscotch. Very nice nose with a sunny and ripe feeling to it. Love that kind of salty note that made me think of warm stones at the shore on a warm summer day.

Dry on the palate with a medium acidity and medium+ body. The flavor intensity is medium+. Baked lemons, tropical fruits, green apples, apple core and oak. The finish is medium+ with truckloads of ripe lemons.

This wine has great balance, power and finesse. It has a freshness which I haven't found in many Sicilian whites before. Open for business today but I've heard that these wines develop very good over time so I don't think there's any hurry to pop your bottles.

  • Similar to many California Chardonnay's made in the Burgundy style. Healthy dollop of toasted oak. Very good acid and balance.
