  On the nose a sweet freshness that's akin to a combination of forest floor and grasses. With time in the glass, this morphs to a more floral impression. The palate is a "wow" for me. Perfectly balanced in a New World context, and seemingly at its peak. Medium bodied with just the right amount of acidity to play as a foil to the fruit. I don't detect a lot of earthiness. While fairly rich in fruit depth, this comes across as relatively delicate and nuanced.
  
  This was the second bottle today that I found in the cellar and thought "damn, I should have had this a couple of years ago". Pleasantly, I was wrong about both of them.

  Ruby color with a light sweet red cherry nose. Fruit is light weight sweet red cherry with lots of tart and sour red cherry followed by black pepper and moderate tannins.

  Medium ruby subtle red berry nose. Fruit is subdued and darker red fruit with a bit of pepper. Good balance. Medium finish.

  Moderate ruby color with a mixed red fruit nose. Some light cherry and raspberry with a hint of darker, red berry behind it. Fruit is a bit thin, tannins are low. Short finish.

  This wine still has life in it -- the cherry and red fruit flavors are still bright and lively. Inviting and aromatic nose. Very nice exemplar of Willamette Valley pinot noir.
