Lukket, med duft av sjø og blomster. Åpner seg litt med friske epler. Kaldere enn Lechet 2008. Kjenner nesten ikke at det er en gammel vin i munnen. Lite fatpreg.

The '09 Lys isn't bad, but doesn't measure up to my other experience with this producer (the '05 Les Lys). My guess is this is a reflection of the warm vintage.
The wine is light in color, suggesting minimal development. On the nose, I found notes of toasted almonds, yellow dried fruits, a touch of sea breeze, and a touch of licorice / spices. On the palate, the wine is medium in body with quite a bit of intensity remaining, but for what it has in concentration over the '05, it lacks in vibrancy and intrigue. It's a rich texture, but a bit harsh perhaps as the alcohol sticks out a bit on the back end. I found a similar expression as the nose, with toasted nuts and dried stone fruits alongside some spices. On one hand, it almost seems like more development would be nice here, but on the other hand, I think this lacks the acidity and vibrancy to improve much from here.

Med gold Med+ intensity, red apple, lemon, orchid, rice, pastry, mazipan, sea breeze, developed. Dry, high acidity, med+ alcohol, med body, med+ intensity, apricot, lemon, mineral, honey comb, pastry, salty plum, long finish. This is a very good wine. Drinks perfectly now with oily texture with lingering finish of honey comb.

Medium gold in color. On the nose, the wine shows honey, pineapple, brioche, On the palate, the acidity is high and piercing, not the super concentrated type but balanced and harmonious. Lemon curd, honey. Delicious and appetising. Very good wine.

BYOB at มาเด สโลว์ฟิช Maadae Slow Fish Kitchen to go with crab ceviche and deep fried barracuda w/ Thai aromatic herbs dressing (low spiciness requested). This bottle was on a declining trajectory, it was toward the second glass where everything sang momentarily then the flavors just phased in and out by the fourth hour. It's structurally sound ngl, but the fruits just weren't there anymore, we would have liked it a bit younger tbh.
