A blend of 70% montepulciano, 25% Sangiovese, 5% Cabernet. Better without oak aging they think. It's not sangiovese. Its 20% Cabernet and 10% Merlot. And thus falls out of the appellation. Tasty, fresh and lively, and I can sense no oak aging. Fun, but at this price?

Also has a bit of a burnished oak character to it. The flagship red as it were. Really sophisticated on the nose and kinda quite a beauty. And then tobacco and earth and hard. With some funk and earth to it, and Italianess.
