(Van Volxem Alte Reben Riesling) Dynamite minerality with apple, pear on this heavenly nose. The palate has a lovely creamy texture with astonishing purity. Nice crunchiness to contrast the creaminess on the finish.

A slightly closed nose of lychees and honeyed raisins, but in the mouth was wonderfully complex; clean, dry with creamy apricots and stone-fruit bitterness. 88-89pts.
2 bottles drank at NEWTS tasting, April 2011.
