2nd day. Nose: wet pastry, gasoline, mature sweetness, ripe fruits (green grapes), palate: full-bodied, still present but very balanced acidity, slight gasoline but not unpleasant. still performing on day 3. High qpr but don't keep any longer imho

Only a glimpse of what it was at the beginning. This wine is going down in the wrong direction. The bouquet showed a bit of how young Riesling could be, but the body is sour and bitter. I had this wine several times and it seems that this needs to be enjoyed young. Did not finish it.

Elegant nose with citrus, some peach, mineral, flowers, and tiny hints of herbs and aromatic oils. The palate is dry, citrus in the attack, rather high acidity, a mid-palate that is dominated by mineral notes (with the fruit coming in the background) and a viscous impression, followed by some foody bitterness, and a long mineral-dominated aftertaste with some bitterness. Still youngish and could probably develop more, 91(+) p.
The wine shows a lot of breeding, "GG character" and concentration, although the best GGs tend to show more citrus notes on the palate. (Apparently, some of the single vineyard wines ended up in this wine in 2013 due to small harvests, so it punches above its weight in this vintage.) Although the acidity is highish, it isn't quite as high and green apple-styled as in many other German 2013s.
