Opened a bit tight, herbaceous. After 10 to 15 minutes it evolved in nice coco and coffee smells with undercurrents of earth. Stayed put together the whole evening. Drink now, may hold a few more years, doubt it will go 10.

This was my last bottle of 2004 Chalk Hill Cabernet; only regret is not having more! In 2019, it still pops with lucious black currants and blackberry jam, rocks the palate with hints of lavender and chocolate mocha, and finishes with a mouthful of rich velvety tannis!
