  • Off the list at Parcelles, this may well have been the first LC 20-release & I've tried? It's also my first experience of any Prévost wine to illuminate a stylistic continuity with Selosse: I'm better used to youthfully exuberant tropical notes from the &, but this revealed an unexpectedly nutty richness. Air continued to unfurl a dusky, delicious oxidative character with caramelized depths of toffee-coated apple. For me, this showing of & made the case that it might be less of a little sibling to Les Béguines and may soon merit the same esteem.

  • BYOB dinner NOTK (NOTK, Rotterdam): I had this on my wish list for quite a while and was slightly disappointed. Medium intensity with oxidative notes, brioche, citrus, some honey. High acidity, long finish. 91+

  • 100% Meunièr dell’Aube almeno 12 mesi sui lieviti. Colore giallo dorato e perlage fine e molto lungo. Aromi fruttati al naso. Molto dritto ma non duro. Complesso e molto persistente.
Degustato a Meursault in Borgogna a pranzo come primo vino presso Le Soufflot de Meursault durante il viaggio verso la Champagne

  • Opened in Hong Kong with friends and enjoyed as the first bottle over dinner. Allowed to breathe for 30 minutes before starting.

This was really lovely - toasty, nutty, creamy with a variety of fruit coming through. Plenty of layers to peel back and evolved in the mouth very nicely. My only nitpick would be the precision, as I would have preferred a bit more acidity to drive everything home. That being said, this is a wonderful champagne and I would very happily have it again!

Will keep at this level and definitely improve with a bit of time. Let's see how it performs in 5+ years.

  • Somewhat surprised to be the first note, but onward… This was opened in a group tasting, non-blind, enjoyed in a Zalto universal. The wine has some red and blue fruit, a noticeable step up and quality in my opinion from the 18 and yet it does have a hint of oatmeal, bordering on mousiness but not quite there. A little bit of a natural feel at least. Overall, I think the hype is justified for Prévost, these wines are so singular intense on the pallet, interesting and delicious. I would rather have Les Beguines but always happy to find it in my glass.
