Tart and upleasant. Medicinal and oily. Hopefully this is because of the vintage and not the underlying winemaking but I certainly wouldn't try another in a hurry.

Winery: Gooey tar, licorice, spicey, rich body, good bal. tannins; higher a’s than Fess Parker; slight bitter finish.***Very good w/very minor flaws, if flaws at all.

Heritage BBQ: Fairly heavy handed, a little too much and too hot--good, but out of balance. Stuck with mostly PN. $15.99. “Zaca Mesa Syrah”
