  • Pop and pour. Initially somewhat closed nose and a bit watery on the palate, but bistro glasses dull all wines. Corked and took home. Popped again bc we have to fly in the morning. Notes from 4 hrs open. On the nose: game, olive, glossy bright blackberry, soft stone notes. On the palate: lovely acidity, somewhat thin, but lovely blackberry fruit mixed with olive brine. Solid.

Nose of cassis and pepper, quite the marker of the variety :)

Palate is light for a Syrah, again the vintage brings back in vintages "pre global warming" ... it is quite acidic, very thin and light but on the verge of greatness, see how it will change along the years... very easy drinking wine after a good air opening or decanting !

tasted the 2022 in the tanks before going into wood... amazing ripe wine, it is Core Rotie material for a St Joseph... needs a good maturing in oak... if not F...d up, it will certainly be the best Ribaudy ever
