  • Unlike the 2020, this did need decanting. In spite of the cooler vintage, its alcoholic weight is the same (14% ABV), and it shares its textural richness, but the aromas of flowers, fruit and minerals needed help to unfold. Even after two hours in the decanter they remain discreet however, pure and precise, with admirable depth, but hardly exuberant. An understated wine of considerable elegance and finesse.
